1) Vocal Training Track: Path of the Luminous Voice 

Training in Indian Devotional Singing & Chanting including kīrtan, mantra and rāga singing, Yoga of Sound (Nāda Yoga) philosophical teachings, sanskrit pronunciation and vocal technique.

This track currently includes 2 Self-Paced Courses with over 9 Hours of Training in each course, and a 3rd Course being offered Live in Jan 2022:

• Path of the Luminous Voice 101 (LV 101)
  • Invocation to the Goddess of the Arts & Learning (Sarasvatī), pronunciation, peace prayers and deity mantras, Indian kīrtan melodies and an introduction to rāga.
  • Great for beginners.
• Path of the Luminous Voice 111 (LV 111) 
  • Introducing new scales, vocal exercises, and Indian kīrtan melodies 
• Path of the Luminous Voice 121 (LV 121) 
  • Continue the Path in Jan 2022 when this course will be taught Live with Sheela & Brent
  • Introducing new sacred verses (ślokas), Indian kīrtan melodies and guided rāga singing. 
  • Prerequisites: LV 101 or LV 111

2) Harmonium Training Track: Harmonium Magic

Support your practice of mantra and kīrtan with this powerful instrument. Learn beautiful kīrtan melodies, dyads, drones, exercises, and more with our accessible method rooted in Indian tradition. Build a repertoire of Indian and Western-sourced chants. 

This track currently includes 3 Self-Paced Courses with over 9 Hours of Training in each course: 

• Harmonium Magic 101 (HM 101)
  • Start your harmonium journey here. Learn foundational kīrtans and mantras, scales, fingering patterns and dyads.
• Harmonium Magic 111 (HM 111)
  • This Course builds on the principles you learn in the 101 course, introducing new kīrtans, mantras and exercises.
• Harmonium Magic 121 (HM 121) 
  • This Course furthers your understanding of playing melody and dyads for more beautiful chants and kīrtans.
  • Prerequisites: HM 101 or HM 111

Deities of Yoga Course 

• Stories, Song and Mantras of the Deities of Hindu and Yogic Practice with Sreedevi Bringi (Sheela’s fabulous Mother!) and Sheela!
• Members find this to be an invaluable resource for more deeply appreciating the cultural significance and context of different Deities as well as their attributes, symbolism and blessing force.

Kīrtan Leading Course

From time to time, instructors take a small cohort of students through a course offered in the core curriculum. You get the opportunity to practice live with instructors, get your questions answered, and play individually off-mute and receive coaching.

Students in the membership have the opportunity to sign-up for private coaching with available Sacred Sound Lab instructors. You can get personalized training and coaching of the material in the core curriculum or any other aspect of training you are interested in.
